This collaborative event will be held at the beautiful Greater Newark Conservancy at 32 Prince St, Newark on Tuesday, Sept 30th from 6-8pm. Learn what you need to know about plastic to keep your family safer and let's work together for better legislation. EcoCrafting: Zero Waste Gift Wrapping
Join us at the Livingston Public Library for Eco Crafting and get creative while being kind to the planet! Eco Crafting is a hands-on crafting session where we’ll transform everyday and recycled materials into beautiful, useful, and eco-friendly creations. On Thursday, November 13th at 11am we will be creating Zero Waste Gift Wrap. Please bring a clean, old t-shirt with you to the program. Space is limited and registration opens Monday, October 27th at 10am.
The program will be led by Alison Barmas of the Livingston Environment Commission.
No experience needed. Sponsored by the Friends of the Livingston Public Library.

Participants will learn how to stay informed about permit applications in overburdened communities, how to register for hearings (virtual, hybrid, or in-person), and how to submit effective and impactful public comments.

anjec Hour of Action: NJPACT REAL
to learn about how you can support proposed statewide regulations that will help reduce the impacts of flooding by requiring stormwater management for redevelopment projects, elevate new and redevelopment above floodplains, and encourage nature-based infrastructure solutions.
The New Jersey Protecting Against Climate Threat Resilient Environments and Landscapes (NJPACT REAL) rules are re-proposed by the NJDEP with substantial amendments.
Written public comments are due by Sept 20, and the public hearing is Sept 3.
ANJEC Executive Director, Jennifer M. Coffey, will provide an overview of the rules and guide participants to craft comments to support the adoption of NJPACT REAL and advocate for rules changes that provide equal protection from flood risk for people living in affordable housing.
