  • Anne Fung

    Environmental Engineer

    Anne leads the LEC in coordinating the commissions review of the Environmental aspects of planning applications to advise the planning board, in particular regarding Environmental Impact Assessments.

  • Walter LeVine

    LEC Chair, Trust & Estates Lawyer

    Walter is the Chairman of the LEC and volunteers on a number of township committees and charities. He is concerned about the reduction of single use plastic and has helped champion the preservation of Trees.

  • Alan Glazer

    LEC Vice Chair, Commercial and Real Estate Lawyer

    Alan is vice chair of the LEC and an advocate for environmental initiatives in Livingston. Alan is interested in the environment overall, and especially the intersection of the environment and food insecurity. He is a cofounder of Eat Real.

  • Adam Schwarzenberg

    LEC Secretary, Environmental Health & Safety Specialist

    Adam is interested in forever chemicals and environmental contamination from hazardous materials.

  • Al Anthony

    Personal Injury, Mass Tort, Class Action & Environmental Attorney

    Al is a Town Councilman and helps the LEC communicate with the Township. Al's career has been dedicated to protecting people and the environment.

    Insurance, Construction & Environmental Attorney

    Adam wants to remind you to help keep our streets and stormwater drains clean as we approach the fall leaf season.

  • Ali Barmas

    Geotechnical Engineer & Engineering Geologist.

    Ali led the LEC EnviroART Mural program and is also Chair of LivGreen. She is organising Native Planting and Stream monitoring programs in Livingston.

  • Brooke Kalva

    LHS Student Representative

    Brooke is a passionate environmentalist raising student voices on environmental issues and writing her own poetry. She is supporting the development of Native Planting programming for the LEC and hopes to pursue environmental law after graduation.

    LHS Student Representative

    Jacob is LHS Student president and will be helping lead environmental programming for clean streams and improving our social media and newsletter communication. A talented artist Jacob was also a finalist in the LEC EnviroART Mural Competition.

    Geotechnical Engineer

    Jerien supports Anne in undertaking reviews and advises on Environmental issues for new developments and Town projects.

  • Ali Barmas

    Green Team Chair

    A Geotechnical Engineer by training, Ali is now a substitute teacher in the district and is passionate about creating opportunities for us to connect with our environment, and environmental education for all ages.

  • Shawn Klein

    Deputy Mayor and Town Liaison to the Green Team. Shawn advocates passionately for Livingston and walks the walk having built his own LEED Certified home.

  • Krishna Lala

    Sustainable Jersey Coordinator

    Krishna holds a PhD in Environmental studies. She is a wonderful artist and splitting her time between here and India we are lucky to have her perspective.

  • Jordan Grossman

    Jordan has a science background and is a self proclaimed Environmental Nut! (We love that Jordan - all nuts welcome!). He has been looking into PFAs and supports composting!

  • Nic Varzacacou

    Nic is a Geologist & Water quality specialist. He will be helping lead the LivGreen: Clean Streams Initiative.

  • Denise Dunton-Kalva

    Denise is passionate about the environment and also part of the National Charity League.

  • Toni Tamberelli

    An environmental educator with a background in invasive jellyfish research, Toni sought to use their knowledge of the natural world for inspiring others to protect and appreciate it. Now, they teach science labs at Montclair State and County College of Morris while also donating their free time for LivGreen’s Clean Streams program. 

  • Elizabeth Peterson

    Liz is the Deputy Township Clerk and Environmental champion. She will be working to support our Sustainable Jersey Certification and is passionate about improving our environment.

  • Claire Huang (&Milo)

    Claire is a graphic designer, community organizer, and helped create the sensory garden at the Collins Elementary School. Milo likes to dig in the garden and steal Claire’s veges!

  • Shradha Prakash

    Shradha is also a member of the recycling committee and is spearheading efforts to improve composting and zero waste initiatives in Livingston and working with the LHS Green Team to support steps for composting in schools.

    Joan Cohen

    Joan was one of the original Green innovators for Livingston and has a special interest in Sustainable Homes. Joan loves to photograph the Bees which visit her garden.

    Edward cares about maintaining the environment we live in and preserving our natural resources.

  • Beth Lippman

    Executive Director of LIVBID, Beth works tirelessly to elevate the experience of doing business in Livingston and has been a champion of youth led initiatives in particular the installation of the LEC EnviroART Murals.

  • Jasmin Morin

    Jasmine is a member of the Essex County Environmental Commission and is the liaison for Livingston EC and Green Team.

  • Connor Sweeny

    Connor was instrumental in the Town’s first application for Sustainable Jersey Accreditation as an intern and now continues to support the green team.

  • Jennifer Park

    Jennifer is also a member of Trails and Greenways and brings us expertise in legal research, policy and procedure as well as a joy for art, nature and advocacy.

    Aaron is also a member of Trails & Greenways. We are happy he’s helping here now too.

    Russell is the Deputy Township Manager and has been driving the certification process for Sustainable Jersey.
