Liv & Learn: STream Monitoring

Liv & Learn: Stream Monitoring

Join us to connect with your watershed & learn how to assess the health of our streams.

We will meet in the field to measure, observe & record physical characteristics of Canoe Brook including macro invertebrates.

Bring: clothes appropriate for the field and river, water, sunscreen and full rain boots boots or waders.

Meet: Please register so we can prep equipment. We will meet in the car park behind Livingston Police Station and walk to the site opposite St. Philomena’s Church.

By nature, access to the river requires you to feel physiaclly able to navigate some bumpy slopes to the River. However, if you want to join in we will find a way to make this accessible for you. Please reach out and we can coordinate a plan, everyone is welcome and we want all our activities to be inclusive.

Coffee and cookies will be served, tailgate style - yep, stay classy Livingston!

Beware: rubber ducks will be at work on site.

approaching ducks may cause joy.

do not feed the ducks!
