LivGreen is working on developing a proposal for Municipal Community Solar to support auto-enrollment for low and moderate income (LMI) households to ensure our residents all receive the significant savings available through the NJ Clean Energy program incentives which have now been simplified and are delivered via consolidated billing on your regular utility bill.

Anyone can sign up now, and should, but it can feel like a lot to learn so working through the municipally led option can allow for more households to benefit, provide reliable education and outreach and vet solar developers we engage with to ensure the best deal. The program also has a zero penalty opt-out so there is no obligation to continue to receive the savings if desired.

We are working with partners in Sustainable Jersey, our Public Utilities and energy consultants Gabel Associates to create a feasibility proposal. Watch this space! If you are interested to learn more - reach out to us and also check out the resources below.

If you want to sign up for community solar savings now, the program guarantees a minimum saving of 20% and you can search developers for deals currently between 30% and 40% savings.
